Scottie Scheffler cemented his status as the world's best golfer by winning the 2022 Masters Tournament on Sunday, securing his first major championship title. The 25-year-old American has dominated the PGA Tour this season, claiming four victories in less than 60 days, including the WM Phoenix Open, Arnold Palmer Invitational, and WGC Match Play.
Scheffler's on-course success has translated into significant financial rewards. He has earned approximately £6.6 million ($8.6 million) from his four tournament wins in 2022 alone, with total season earnings reaching £7.6 million ($10 million). His net worth is estimated at around £3 million ($4 million), though this figure is likely to rise following his Masters victory.
Turning professional in 2018, Scheffler enjoyed early success on the Korn Ferry Tour, winning twice and being named player of the year. He made his Masters debut in 2020 and has since delivered consistent performances, including top-eight finishes at all three other majors in 2021 and a Ryder Cup victory over then-world number one Jon Rahm.
