Elijah Just 'Interested' in Celtic Move After World Cup Heroics
Elijah Just 'Interested' in Celtic Transfer After World Cup

Motherwell sensation Elijah Just would be 'interested' in a move to Celtic this summer, according to former Hoops defender Charlie Mulgrew. Mulgrew has urged manager Martin O'Neill to snap up the playmaker following his impressive debut season at Fir Park.

Elijah Just's Breakout Season

The attacker scored seven goals and provided eight assists, helping Motherwell finish fourth in the Premiership and secure European football. His performances caught the eye of several clubs, but his stock has skyrocketed after his World Cup exploits.

Just made history for New Zealand by becoming the first Kiwi to score a brace at a World Cup, netting twice in a 2-2 draw with Iran. This display has likely attracted even more suitors, but Mulgrew hopes Celtic act quickly to lure him to Glasgow.

Charlie Mulgrew's Verdict

Speaking to BOYLE Sports, Mulgrew said: 'Over the course of the season, Elijah Just was brilliant. He was the best forward winger, although he does come inside a lot and play that inside channel. He's not a traditional winger.'

'I think he's somebody that can, if you've got a full-back that can push on and create the width, he's somebody that can come inside the pockets and definitely add to the Celtic squad.'

'He's right under Celtic's nose at Motherwell as well. The World Cup performance has risen his stock even more. I think he'd be interested in a move to Celtic. I don't know the boy, but I'd imagine that's something that would interest him. And 100 per cent, he's somebody that you'd be looking at.'

Mulgrew also mentioned other impressive players this season, such as Elliot Watt, but emphasised that Just is a prime target for Celtic.
