The BMW PGA Championship has announced the full line-up for its celebrity Pro-Am event, which will take place at Wentworth on Wednesday ahead of the main tournament. The Pro-Am features a shotgun start, with groups teeing off simultaneously from different holes.
Among the celebrities taking part are Sir Andy Murray (handicap 2.0), Gareth Bale (0.0), Michael McIntyre (18.0) and Clare Balding (14.4). Rugby players Finn Russell, Owen Farrell and Henry Pollock (all 18.0) will play alongside Luke Donald. Footballers Teddy Sheringham (4.0), Robbie Fowler (4.4) and Steph Houghton (24.0) are also in the field.
The professional event begins on Thursday, with Rory McIlroy as the favourite after his Irish Open win. Other top pros include Jon Rahm, Tommy Fleetwood, Ludvig Aberg and Tyrrell Hatton, many of whom are preparing for the Ryder Cup later this month.
Notable pairings include Billy Horschel with Gareth Bale, Andy Murray and Teddy Sheringham; Tommy Fleetwood with singer Tom Grennan; and Brooks Koepka with Robbie Fowler and John Terry. The full list of handicaps has been published alongside the pairings.
