Brentford Face Tough Premier League Run-In After Fixtures Released

Brentford face a daunting end to the 2026/27 Premier League season, with the newly released fixtures revealing a challenging run-in. Keith Andrews' side will begin and end their campaign with high-profile London derbies.

Opening Matches

The Bees kick off the new season at home to Tottenham Hotspur on August 22. Last season, under rookie head coach Keith Andrews, Brentford finished ninth despite losing their manager, captain, and two key attacking talents. They also claimed notable victories over Manchester United, Liverpool, and Aston Villa.

Andrews had a tricky start last year, winning only one of his first five matches. This season, Brentford begin against a Spurs team that poached Thomas Frank from them, only to sack him less than eight months later.

Brentford's first away trip is to Leeds United, with Sunderland visiting the Gtech Community Stadium next. The Bees then travel to Bournemouth.

London Derbies and Key Fixtures

Their first London derby sees them host Xabi Alonso's Chelsea on September 19. They meet Premier League champions Arsenal at home on December 2, with the return fixture at the Emirates Stadium on January 6.

The festive period includes away games against two newly-promoted teams: Ipswich Town on December 26 and Coventry City on December 30.

The first game of 2027 is at home to Conference League winners Crystal Palace on January 2.

Challenging Run-In

The season concludes with a daunting May gauntlet: away to Manchester City on May 1, home to Aston Villa on May 8, away to Liverpool on May 15, home to Hull City on May 23, and away to Chelsea on May 30.

All fixture dates are subject to change.
