The UFC has announced the fight card for its unprecedented event at the White House, with Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje headlining a lightweight title unification bout on 14 June. The event coincides with US President Donald Trump's 80th birthday and celebrates 250 years of the United States.
The Octagon is expected to be built on the South Lawn, with limited cageside seating but potential for thousands of fans in other zones featuring big screens. Topuria, a two-division champion, last fought by knocking out Charles Oliveira, while Gaethje became interim lightweight champion after defeating Paddy Pimblett at UFC 324.
In the co-main event, Alex Pereira, who recently relinquished his light-heavyweight title, will face Ciryl Gane for interim heavyweight gold. Reigning heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall remains sidelined with an eye injury but is expected to face the winner to unify the titles.
Other bouts include Sean O'Malley vs Aiemann Zahabi in a bantamweight title eliminator, Michael Chandler vs Mauricio Ruffy, Bo Nickal vs Kyle Daukaus, and Diego Lopes vs Steve Garcia. The event, costing around $60m, is reportedly at no cost to taxpayers.
