Terry Bradshaw left viewers puzzled during a live segment on Fox NFL Sunday after interrupting Michael Strahan's announcement of his Texas Southern University Hall of Fame induction. Strahan was sharing the news of his honour, which marked the university's first Hall of Fame induction since 1996, when Bradshaw interjected with a lighthearted quip.
Strahan had expressed his gratitude, saying, 'I gotta say thank you to Texas Southern University for putting me in the Hall of Fame on Friday night,' as colleagues Rob Gronkowski and Howie Long applauded. Bradshaw then joked, 'That is not true. I went in,' prompting Strahan to retort, 'You didn't go to Texas Southern.' Strahan added, 'We would have known, you would have stood out,' playfully referencing Bradshaw's presence at a historically Black college.
The panel joined in the fun, keeping the mood upbeat before turning to the upcoming Sunday games. The incident follows recent criticism of Bradshaw's on-air antics, including a questionable Carolina accent while previewing a Panthers-Raiders game, which sparked backlash on social media. Some fans have called for Bradshaw to leave Fox, where he has been a mainstay since 1994.
Later in the show, Strahan also dunked NFL insider Jay Glazer in a water tank as part of a comical pitching challenge featuring baseball legends Alex Rodriguez, Derek Jeter, and David Ortiz.
