Swansea City player ratings as comeback win extends Championship lead
Swansea player ratings: comeback win extends top spot

Swansea City strengthened their position at the top of the Championship with a 2-1 comeback victory over Norwich City on Saturday. Moussa Yeo's second-half strike cancelled out Jacob Wright's opener, before Adam Idah's header secured all three points for Vitor Matos and his side.

Goalkeeper and defence

Lawrence Vigouroux was not at fault for Norwich's goal and made a fine late save to deny Sam Field. Filip Lissah made good runs and linked up well with Yeo, though he could have been tighter for the opening goal, and made a crucial block to stop Musaba late on.

Ben Cabango was solid without being at his most influential, while Stephen Welsh pinged some excellent passes from deep and remained composed in the back four. Josh Tymon delivered a brilliant cross for Swansea's first goal and impressed at left-back.

Midfield and attack

Goncalo Franco made a shedload of tackles, with his decision-making a little rusty at times but overall a very good display. Jay Fulton drove out of defence well and disrupted Norwich's midfield before being substituted.

Joseph Opoku showed plenty of application on his return to the starting line-up and asked questions of the Norwich defence, though he ran into cul-de-sacs too often and was denied a goal when his effort was cleared off the line. Melker Widell was caught in possession for Norwich's opener but played a lovely pass in the build-up to Swansea's first and delivered a delicious cross for the second.

Moussa Yeo was the star man, putting in several good crosses in the first half that should have been converted and taking his goal well - his third in as many outings. Adam Idah should have shot when played in by Opoku in the first half and was denied by a good save shortly after, but kept going and deserved his goal in the second half.

Substitutes

Zan Vipotnik, on for Idah after 62 minutes, put himself about reasonably well and snapped at a shot from distance. Elijah Just, on for Widell after 70 minutes, drew a couple of fouls that gave his team a breather when Norwich pushed late on. Marko Stamenic, also on after 70 minutes for Fulton, had a fairly quiet cameo. Eom Jisung and Jenson Seelt came on after 84 minutes and had little time to make an impact.
