Supercomputer Predicts Man Utd's Final Premier League Position

Opta's supercomputer has forecast the final Premier League standings, predicting Manchester United will finish fifth with 64 points, just outside the top four. The Reds climbed to fourth after a 1-0 win over Everton, but the data suggests Liverpool will leapfrog them into fourth place with 65 points.

Arsenal are tipped to win the title with 82 points, followed by Manchester City (76) and Aston Villa (70). Liverpool are predicted to secure the final Champions League spot with a 47.1% probability, while United's chances stand at 44.15%.

However, a fifth-place finish may still be enough for Champions League qualification, as England is set to top UEFA's coefficient rankings, earning an extra spot. This would grant United entry if they remain fifth.

The predictions come as United continue their resurgence under interim boss Michael Carrick, who has won five of his six matches in charge.
