According to an incident report obtained by the Daily Mail, the accuser stated that Diggs entered her unlocked bedroom, grabbed her from behind, and 'tried to choke her using the crook of his elbow around her neck.' She reported fearing she 'could have blacked out' before being thrown onto the bed.
The report also indicated that the woman initially hesitated to identify Diggs to authorities 'due to his fame.' These legal issues had threatened to disrupt the Patriots' postseason ambitions, but earlier this month, Diggs' arraignment date was postponed until after Super Bowl LX, allowing him to continue playing.
