Benjamin Sesko has revealed why he chose to join Manchester United amid a transfer tussle for his signature. The Slovenian striker was officially unveiled to fans at Old Trafford before United's 1-1 pre-season friendly draw with Fiorentina on Saturday.
United confirmed Sesko's signing earlier in the day in a deal worth up to £74million from RB Leipzig. Arsenal had also shown interest in the 21-year-old earlier this summer.
Sesko was presented alongside fellow summer signings Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon, with David de Gea also receiving a rapturous reception on his return to the Theatre of Dreams for the first time since his departure two years ago.
The Red Devils wrapped up an unbeaten pre-season for the first time since 2019, with manager Ruben Amorim expressing growing confidence in his squad ahead of their Premier League opener against Arsenal next weekend.
