Rangers are pushing ahead with a planned move for Amario Cozier-Duberry, but the Brighton winger will not be rushed into Ibrox ahead of Friday night's top flight opener against Dundee United.
Official discussions have begun over a potential deal for the 21-year-old after the Premier League club turned down a £5million bid from Anderlecht.
Interest from Multiple Clubs
Former Rangers boss Danny Rohl, now at RB Salzburg, has also been linked with the Arsenal academy graduate, while West Ham and Hull are monitoring the situation.
It remains unclear if Rangers can buy Cozier-Duberry outright or if Brighton would prefer a season-long loan. Sources on the south coast suggest Cozier-Duberry could be offered a new long-term contract, as manager Fabian Hurzeler does not yet consider him first-team ready.
McInnes Confident
Rangers manager Derek McInnes believes the youngster would be a regular in his starting lineup and is prepared to wait. Cozier-Duberry spent last season on loan at Bolton, scoring ten goals and providing double-digit assists as the club won promotion to the Championship.
McInnes is hopeful of adding two more signings before Friday's match against Dundee United at Tannadice. Rangers remain in the market for wide players and defensive reinforcements ahead of the new season.
