Liverpool are closing in on Bayern Munich's Ryan Gravenberch, while Cole Palmer has completed a £42.5m move from Manchester City to Chelsea. Manchester United are pursuing Sofyan Amrabat of Fiorentina and Tottenham's Sergio Reguilon, and Liverpool have rejected a £100m bid from Al-Ittihad for Mohamed Salah.
The window closes at 23:00 BST. However, clubs have a two-hour extension if they submit a 'deal sheet' after 9pm. This form confirms a deal has been reached, allowing until 1am to submit full paperwork including the contract, transfer agreement, work permits and international clearance. The Premier League prepares by asking clubs about pending business.
Historic last-minute transfers include Wayne Rooney to Manchester United in 2004, Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano to West Ham in 2006, Ashley Cole to Chelsea in 2006, Dimitar Berbatov to Manchester United in 2008, and Mesut Ozil to Arsenal in 2013.
