Postecoglou's Fiery Response After Spurs Beat Forest

Nottingham Forest manager Ange Postecoglou has launched an extraordinary rant in response to critics who labelled him a 'failed manager'. The 60-year-old Australian, whose side have gone seven matches without a win, used a pre-match press conference to defend his record and insist that given time, he will deliver success at the City Ground.

Postecoglou pointed to his tenure at Tottenham Hotspur, where he finished fifth in his first season and won the Europa League, shedding the club's 'Spursy' tag. He argued that his achievements are often overlooked, with critics focusing instead on Tottenham's 17th-place finish last season. 'If you look at it through the prism of I'm a failed manager who's lucky to get this job... then of course these first five weeks look like this guy is under pressure,' he said.

The Forest boss also addressed the sack chants from supporters during the recent 3-2 Europa League loss to FC Midtjylland. 'There is an alternative story... that maybe I'm a manager that if you give them time, the story always ends the same. At all my previous clubs, it ends the same - with me and a trophy,' he added.

Postecoglou's future remains a hot topic ahead of Saturday's home match against Chelsea, with the club's board yet to publicly back him. The Greek-born coach urged patience, insisting his track record shows he can turn things around.
