Ronald Araujo has become a fan favourite at Liverpool, and supporters are now being asked whether the club should make his loan move permanent for £47m.
The Uruguayan joined on a season-long loan from Barcelona and delivered an all-action, fully-committed performance in the 2-0 Premier League win over Brighton & Hove Albion at Anfield on Sunday. He played a key part in the opening goal, made a thunderous challenge on Malick Yalcouye that drew roars of approval, and even attempted to head the ball clear while lying on the turf.
Permanent Transfer Clause
Liverpool have the option to sign Araujo permanently at the end of the season for £47m, and the question of whether to activate that clause is now on supporters' lips.
Araujo recently addressed the speculation in an interview with The Times, saying: "It's far too early to talk about that. I want to thank everyone for the affection they've shown me because it's helped me enormously. But I also want to make one thing clear: whether I stay at Liverpool or not isn't entirely up to me."
Fan Vote
Fans can now have their say in a poll on whether the Reds should trigger the £47m clause to sign Araujo on a permanent basis.
