A software company has launched an investigation into footage that appeared to show its married chief executive embracing the head of human resources during a Coldplay concert in Massachusetts. The incident, captured on the venue's Jumbotron, has gone viral on social media.
Astronomer, the company involved, confirmed that CEO Andy Byron and chief human resources officer Kristin Cabot were in the video. In a statement on X, the firm said its board had initiated a formal investigation, adding: 'Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability.'
The company also denied rumours that another employee, Alyssa Stoddard, was present, and said Mr Byron had not issued any apology. Both Mr Byron and Ms Cabot were placed on leave immediately, according to a source familiar with the situation.
Mr Byron has since resigned, with reports suggesting the delayed response was partly due to negotiations over his exit package. He had been chief executive since 2023, while Ms Cabot joined as HR head in 2024.
