England and Manchester City star Phil Foden and his childhood sweetheart Rebecca Cooke have fuelled engagement speculation after she was seen wearing a huge diamond ring. The couple, who have been together since their teenage years, share three children: sons Ronnie and a younger brother, and daughter True.
Reports suggest the 24-year-old midfielder proposed to Rebecca during a New Year's Eve trip to Paris. The 23-year-old was later photographed trying to conceal the ring on her engagement finger, prompting rumours that the pair may have secretly become engaged.
A source told The Sun: 'The pair of them have been together since they were young and their family and friends have been expecting them to get engaged for a while. The time seemed right for Phil to pop the question. He took her away to Paris for New Year’s Eve and when they came back Rebecca had a sparkling diamond ring on her engagement finger.'
The source added that the ring is 'absolutely huge' and that all the WAGs and players in Manchester are aware of it, with many expecting an official announcement soon.
Rebecca, who is notably private and does not have a public Instagram account, gave birth to the couple's third child in June last year. Phil gushed about the birth on Manchester City's official website, saying: 'I was there for the birth. I walked out of the room, gave it a little tear and then went back in like nothing happened.'
