NRLW star Millie Elliott has opened up about a bizarre and stomach-churning personal story, revealing she once used her brother's urine in an attempt to treat a wart on her hand. The Sydney Roosters prop, who gave birth to her daughter Gigi last September, shared the unusual anecdote during an appearance on Triple M's The Rush Hour radio show.
A Family Folk Remedy Gone Wrong
Elliott explained to co-hosts Nathan Hindmarsh and Anthony Maroon that her brother had previously claimed success in treating his own wart with urine. "My brother weed on one of his warts and it went away," she recounted. "He told me to do the same once I had one on my finger... but it didn't go away."
The situation took an even more peculiar turn when her brother suggested the remedy might require his specific urine. "So he said, 'Maybe it's gotta be my wee'... so he peed in a cup, and I poured it onto my wart... it didn't go away," Elliott admitted, acknowledging the story was "really gross."
Return to Rugby League After Pregnancy
After missing the previous NRLW season due to her pregnancy, Elliott is expected to make her competitive return for the Sydney Roosters this year. The NRLW competition is scheduled to begin in July, marking her comeback to professional rugby league.
The Tricolours were able to replace Elliott for the 2025 campaign without exceeding salary cap restrictions, a situation that delighted club chairman Nick Politis. "It is a wonderful thing that rugby league has a structure in place where female athletes can start a family, take the time off, but then return when they are ready to play out their contracts," Politis stated. "We are very happy for Millie and Adam."
Personal Life and Influence
Elliott, who has won premierships with the Brisbane Broncos (twice), Newcastle Knights, and Sydney Roosters during her career, married South Sydney Rabbitohs recruit Adam Elliott in 2023. Her husband has publicly praised her significant impact on his life, describing her as the "biggest influence" on his personal happiness.
"Millie's the biggest influence over my personal happiness right now," Adam Elliott told the Sydney Morning Herald. "How much she's bought into my family, and helping to raise my little boy [from a previous relationship], it means the world to me. I probably don't give her enough credit, she's a very special person... everything she does for me, it gets me a bit emotional."
The couple's growing family and mutual support system appears to be a cornerstone of their lives both on and off the field, as they navigate the demands of professional rugby league careers alongside parenting responsibilities.
