Newsboy is backing his nap, Morshdi, to win the featured Group 2 Dante Stakes at York and expects Fallen Angel to deliver in the Middleton Fillies' Stakes, two of six races live on ITV Sport.
Morshdi to Shine in Dante Stakes
The William Haggas-trained Morshdi is Newsboy's tip to win the Al Basti Equiworld Dubai Dante Stakes (4.05) at York on Thursday. Haggas, who saddled Shaamit to land the Epsom Classic in 1996, has another Derby hopeful after Maltese Cross won the Derby Trial at Lingfield Park. Morshdi impressed on his return to action, winning the Listed Feilden Stakes at Newmarket's Craven meeting over a mile and a furlong last month. The step up to an extended 10 furlongs should suit Tom Marquand's mount, who still has plenty more to offer.
Fallen Angel to Challenge Sea The Fire
Sea The Fire will be a warm order to repeat her emphatic Group 2 Al Basti Equiworld Dubai Middleton Fillies' Stakes (3.30) success from 12 months ago, but Fallen Angel is capable of serving it up to the favourite. The nap vote goes to Air Force One, who has a good record on the Knavesmire and was back in business at Beverley last time, in the Lindum York Handicap (2.20). The Listed British Stallion Studs EBF Westow Stakes (4.40) is a good opportunity for Revival Power to make the perfect comeback, while Cerulean Bay appeals in the Oakmere Homes Hambleton Handicap (2.55).

At Salisbury, Jonathan Portman's stable form points to the chances of Personal Best in the Al Basti Equiworld, Dubai 'City Bowl' Handicap (2.40).
