Kieffer Moore's Wrexham Form Leaves Sheffield United Red Faced

Wrexham's decision to sign Kieffer Moore for £2 million from Sheffield United in August has been hailed as a masterstroke, with the striker described as an 'absolute nightmare' for defenders. The 33-year-old Welsh international has scored nine goals in 17 appearances across all competitions, including a perfect hat-trick in a 3-2 win over then-unbeaten Championship leaders Coventry City on October 31.

Sky Sports pundit Don Goodman believes Moore was underappreciated at Bramall Lane, suggesting the Blades may regret letting him go as they struggle near the bottom of the table. 'The problem at Sheffield United was that he wasn't particularly loved by the fans,' Goodman told Football League World. 'Wrexham recognise his strengths, they play to them, and they're reaping the benefits.'

Moore's only season with Sheffield United was disappointing, netting just five times in 18 outings and facing criticism for a misplaced backpass that led to a crucial goal in the Championship play-off final defeat to Sunderland. The striker admitted it was a difficult season, but has used the setback as motivation to prove his worth at Wrexham.

Phil Parkinson's side currently sit 13th in the Championship, five points off the play-off places, following a 1-0 win over Charlton Athletic. Moore has also been called up to Craig Bellamy's Wales squad for their final World Cup qualifiers against Liechtenstein and North Macedonia.
