Scott McTominay scored twice as Napoli twice came from behind to secure a 2-2 draw with Serie A leaders Inter Milan at San Siro. The result leaves Inter on 43 points, three ahead of second-placed Milan, while Napoli sit third on 39.
Inter took the lead in the ninth minute through Federico Dimarco, who drilled home from a wide angle after Marcus Thuram's lay-off. Napoli equalised in the 26th minute when McTominay got ahead of his marker to turn in Eljif Elmas's low cross at the near post.
Napoli had chances after the break but were left to rue misses when Inter were awarded a penalty for Amir Rrahmani's foul on Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Napoli manager Antonio Conte was shown a red card for his furious reaction, and Hakan Calhanoglu blasted the spot-kick in off the upright to restore Inter's lead with 17 minutes remaining.
Napoli refused to bow and McTominay struck again with nine minutes left, volleying home from close range after Noa Lang hooked the ball back from the byline. Mkhitaryan hit the post in added time as Inter were denied a seventh successive league win.
Elsewhere, Christopher Nkunku scored a 90th-minute equaliser as Milan drew 1-1 at Fiorentina, while Bayern Munich thrashed Wolfsburg 8-1 to extend their Bundesliga lead.
