Conor McGregor will look for his second victory over Max Holloway tonight, 13 years after he outpointed him on his way to becoming a UFC champion. The Irishman's career took a nosedive after he agreed to fight boxing legend Floyd Mayweather in a crossover clash in 2017. McGregor was stopped on his professional boxing debut but banked £100 million and fell from grace. He has won just one fight since, a facile 40-second victory over Donald Cerrone in 2020, and lost twice to Dustin Poirier the following year. His second defeat came as he broke his leg in the first round of their trilogy bout, an injury which threatened to end his career. But he returns in Las Vegas tonight against Max Holloway in a repeat of their 2013 clash, albeit at welterweight rather than featherweight.
