Bryan Mbeumo will make his long-awaited Manchester United debut on Sunday against Everton in the final game of the US tour. The Cameroon winger, who joined from Brentford in a deal worth up to £71 million, missed victories over West Ham and Bournemouth due to being behind in fitness levels.
United boss Ruben Amorim expressed excitement, saying: 'He's going to play. I'm really excited to see him playing and what he can give to our team.' Mbeumo scored 20 Premier League goals for Brentford last season.
United have also added Matheus Cunha this summer, spending £133.5 million combined, and are targeting £70 million-rated striker Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig. Amorim has prioritised signing a new No.9 after Rasmus Hojlund managed only four Premier League goals last season.
Defender Ayden Heaven noted the team's tight bond during pre-season: 'We're a really tight bunch. It gets tighter every month and we're like brothers in the changing-room.' United begin the season at home to Arsenal on August 17.
