NRL star Max King and his wife Christy have joyfully revealed the name of their newborn daughter, born on New Year's Eve. Taking to Instagram, Christy King confirmed that the couple has chosen the name Psalm for their baby girl.

A Growing Family

This heartwarming announcement follows the arrival of their son Hercules in June 2024, marking a significant year for the King family. Both parents are devout Christians, and their faith plays a central role in their lives and decisions.

Love and Faith

Max King, a 28-year-old front-rower for the Bulldogs, met his wife at a church on the Gold Coast. Their relationship blossomed into marriage at Curzon Hall in Sydney in October 2023, surrounded by loved ones. Notably, the couple famously abstained from sex during their engagement, a choice rooted in their strong Christian beliefs.

In a previous interview with 2DayFM, Christy shared, 'We are so loud and proud about our faith... it's never been something we've shied away from because it is so important to us.' She added, 'We spoke about it (remaining celibate) early on...on the first or second date. Christian dating 101 is you're not wasting anyone's time...and honestly we've seen such fruit from it in our relationship in terms of communication...it's just so good.'

Overcoming Challenges

Christy also admitted initial hesitations about dating a high-profile footy player, saying, 'When I met him I was like, "Oh you're a footy player, red flag, what have I got myself into?"' However, she expressed gratitude, stating, 'I feel so blessed to have met Max...we are the puzzle pieces that fit together and it's all down to God.'

Last September, the couple faced a health scare when they discovered a mould infestation in their Sydney home, which left Max seriously ill. He described symptoms including coughing, flu, phlegm, and constant lethargy, affecting the entire family, including their then-pregnant wife.

Career and Current Endeavors

Max King, who joined the Bulldogs in 2022 from the Melbourne Storm, made his State of Origin debut for the NSW Blues last year. He is currently in Las Vegas with his Bulldogs teammates, preparing for their NRL season opener against the Dragons on March 1.

The Kings' story highlights a blend of personal faith, family joy, and professional dedication, resonating with fans and followers alike.
