Manchester United are drawing up a shortlist of potential replacements for Marcus Rashford, with the forward expected to complete a permanent move to Barcelona this summer. The 28-year-old has impressed on loan at the Camp Nou, scoring 10 goals and providing 13 assists in all competitions, and the Catalan club are anticipated to trigger a £26m purchase option in his agreement.
According to reports, United have identified five targets to fill the void. RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande, Como 1907's Jesus Rodriguez, and Strasbourg winger Martial Godo are all being monitored. Everton's Iliman Ndiaye, who offers direct running and Premier League experience, is also on the radar, while Paris Saint-Germain's Bradley Barcola is emerging as a prime target.
Meanwhile, United legend Bryan Robson has urged the club to reverse their decision to allow Casemiro to leave when his contract expires this summer. The Brazilian midfielder, 34, has been in exceptional form in recent months, prompting Robson to tell BoyleSports: 'I would encourage Casemiro to stay. He's had a really good season. He's a top player with a great football brain.'
Robson added: 'He heads the ball well and when he goes in to tackle, he means it. You don't stay at Real Madrid for that long and win Champions League titles if you're not an absolute top player. I think next season he could definitely give us a little bit more with his experience.'
