Manchester United will be represented by 12 players at the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico, the club has confirmed. The tournament, which begins on 11 June, features 48 teams for the first time.
The United contingent includes players from several national teams, with the final 26-man squads submitted to Fifa by the 2 June deadline. Among the notable selections is Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa, who joins Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in being chosen for a sixth World Cup.
Other United players heading to the tournament include defenders and midfielders from various countries, though the club has not disclosed the full list of names. The squad announcements have sparked debate, with England manager Thomas Tuchel leaving out Cole Palmer and Phil Foden.
With 48 teams and up to 26 players per squad, this summer's World Cup will feature more players than ever before. Injured players can be replaced up to 24 hours before a team's first match, but only from a previously submitted 55-man preliminary list.
