Jobe Bellingham has no interest in a shock move to Manchester United, according to sources. The Borussia Dortmund midfielder, brother of Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham, has been linked with a loan deal to Old Trafford, but the 20-year-old would snub the approach because United are not in the Champions League.
Bellingham has struggled since his £27m move from Sunderland in July, making just two league starts and failing to score in 12 appearances. He was an unused substitute in last weekend's win over Köln, only appearing for a brief cameo. Off the pitch, tensions have grown between his father, Mark Bellingham, and Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl after a confrontation following his Bundesliga debut.
If Bellingham were to leave Dortmund, he would seek a club offering regular top-level football, preferably in the Champions League. This stance could push United to step up their interest in England and Atletico Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher, who has not started a game since September and needs regular minutes to boost his World Cup chances.
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim is keen to bolster his midfield options in the January transfer window and is expected to make a signing. However, Bellingham's rejection leaves the club exploring alternative targets.
