Man Utd injuries: Baleba, Rashford, Shaw latest news

Manchester United ended their winless run before it reached ten matches on Tuesday, easing the pressure on Michael Carrick. The Red Devils appeared to be heading for defeat against Roma at Old Trafford, but Matheus Cunha's late double secured a dramatic 3-2 victory.

United suffered a fresh injury blow during the match, while supporters directed their anger at the directors' box, protesting the club's ownership with balloons and tennis balls. Here is the latest Manchester United injury news and potential return dates.

Carlos Baleba suffers suspected hamstring injury

The summer signing had been a rare bright spot in an otherwise difficult campaign for United. The Cameroonian started alongside Kobbie Mainoo in midfield for the first time, but his game ended moments into the second half when he pulled up holding his hamstring and was forced off.

Carrick said after the match: "I haven't got any more news on Carlos at this stage, but obviously it looks like it's his hamstring. So we'll just have to assess what that looks like. I mean, initially, it doesn't look great. Timelines? I haven't got much more to give you."

Potential return date: Unknown

Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw updates

Marcus Rashford has been struggling with a hip problem in recent weeks. There was hope he could return against Chelsea or Roma, but he was not in the squad for either game. Carrick said before the Roma clash that Rashford would be closing in on a comeback this week, which could point towards a return this weekend.

Potential return date: Saturday, November 7 vs Aston Villa (H)

Luke Shaw remains sidelined with a muscular problem picked up in the 1-1 draw with Tottenham. The England international is thought to be behind Rashford in terms of his comeback, with Carrick confirming as much on Monday.

Potential return date: Sunday, November 22 vs Liverpool (A)

Benjamin Sesko and Manuel Ugarte sidelined

Striker Benjamin Sesko has been ruled out until the new year as United continue to address his shin issues. The Slovenian's debut season was cut short by injury, and he missed the start of this term with a similar problem. It emerged last week that he would be out for a further extended period.

"He's going to be out for a period of time," Carrick said before the defeat by Chelsea. "We're not exactly sure yet how long, but it's going to be a significant amount of time, unfortunately. So I feel for Ben, he had the issue at the end of last season that we looked after and tried to give him as much time to recover and then unfortunately he's had the issue coming into this season. So, we've got to do what's best for Ben and he's going to have to have some time on the sidelines, unfortunately. It's not great for us, it's certainly not great for Ben, but it is part of the game and we've just got to try and make the best of it and get him back as quick as we can."

Potential return date: January

Manuel Ugarte is set to be out for much of this season with a torn ACL sustained at the World Cup.
