Tottenham travel to Old Trafford on Sunday still searching for their first Premier League win of the season, facing a Manchester United side depleted by injuries.
Roberto De Zerbi’s new-look Spurs have endured a difficult start to the campaign after a summer of significant squad changes, but the trip to the north-west offers a chance to get their first three points on the board.
United’s injury list grows
Michael Carrick’s United are without as many as nine first-team players for the fixture. Marcus Rashford and Kobbie Mainoo are among those who may miss out, with Carrick suggesting the pair are not yet back in full training after withdrawing from England duty.
Benjamin Sesko and Amad Diallo are also sidelined, although the Ivorian could be named on the bench.
Baleba set for debut
There is, however, a debut in line for Carlos Baleba. The summer signing arrived from Brighton with an ankle injury but has trained throughout the international break and is expected to start in midfield against Spurs.
His return comes at a timely moment, with United under pressure after collecting just five points from their opening five league games.
