Manchester United fans protested against the club's owners both before and during their Champions League game against Roma on Tuesday night.
Objects thrown onto the pitch
A section of United fans started to throw tennis balls and other objects onto the Old Trafford pitch. The demonstration began in the 21st minute, a time chosen to represent the 21 years the Glazers have been in charge at Old Trafford.
Matheus Cunha was among the players who helped to remove the objects from the playing surface. Once they were cleared, the match was able to resume.
Balloons released before kick-off
Hundreds of yellow and green balloons were also released from the Stretford End prior to kick-off as the teams walked out of the tunnel.
The protest is the latest in a long line of demonstrations against United's owners. Ahead of the Manchester derby on September 13, around 500 fans protested against the club's attempts to crack down on ticket touting. United had hoped the operation would put a stop to ticket touting, and while the operation was deemed to be a success, they also conceded that "some innocent supporters may have been affected".
Continued anger at owners
Chants against Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the Glazers have become a staple of the United songbook, with fans venting their anger at the team's dire form at the owners rather than Michael Carrick.
