Man City vs Napoli: Champions League clash live on TNT Sports

Manchester City begin their Champions League campaign at home against Napoli on Thursday night, fresh from a dominant derby win over Manchester United. Pep Guardiola's side aim to improve on last season's performance, when they scraped through the league phase before losing to Real Madrid 6-3 on aggregate in the play-off round.

City will face Napoli, Monaco (away), Villarreal (away), Borussia Dortmund (home), Bayer Leverkusen (home) and Bodo/Glimt (away) in the league phase. The top eight clubs advance directly to the round of 16, while ninth to 24th enter the play-off round. Napoli are now managed by Antonio Conte, the former Chelsea, Tottenham and Italy boss.

The match will be broadcast live on TNT Sports 2 and the Discovery+ app, with coverage starting at 7pm UK time. Discovery+, which includes all TNT Sports channels, costs £30.99 per month with no long-term commitment. Kevin De Bruyne, who joined Napoli on a free transfer in the summer, is expected to start against his former club.

Guardiola must decide whether to play John Stones from the start after the defender missed the derby through injury. Mateo Kovacic, Rayan Cherki, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Omar Marmoush remain sidelined, while Rodri may be rested ahead of Sunday's trip to Arsenal.
