Manchester City suffered a shocking 3-1 defeat at the hands of Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League, as defensive frailties and Erling Haaland's poor form continued to plague the Premier League champions.
Bodo/Glimt stunned the visitors with two quick goals from Kasper Hogh in the first half, before Jens Petter Hauge curled in a stunning third. City pulled one back through Rayan Cherki, but any hopes of a comeback were dashed when Rodri received a second yellow card and was sent off.
Erling Haaland, playing in his homeland, missed a golden opportunity to reduce the deficit before half-time, failing to hit the target from 12 yards. The striker, who scored 14 goals in his first 11 games this season, has now managed just one in his last eight appearances, raising concerns about his form.
Pep Guardiola's side were without several key defenders due to injury, a problem that was ruthlessly exploited by Bodo/Glimt. City remain on course to qualify for the knockout stages but may face the tricky play-off round, which saw them eliminated last season.
