Liverpool 'Confident' of £180m Double Swoop for Isak and Guehi

Liverpool are reportedly growing in confidence about sealing a double transfer for Alexander Isak and Marc Guehi before the transfer window closes. The Premier League champions have already spent over £300 million this summer, bringing in Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez, Hugo Ekitike and Jeremie Frimpong, but manager Arne Slot is still seeking further reinforcements.

Having sold Darwin Nunez to Al-Hilal and Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich, Liverpool are short of attacking options and have identified Newcastle's Alexander Isak as the solution. The Reds saw a £110 million bid for the Sweden international rejected earlier this month, but the Mirror reports that a deal can be struck after Isak reiterated his desire to join the Merseyside club.

Newcastle are willing to let Isak leave if two conditions are met: they must sign replacements, with Wolves' Jorgen Strand Larsen and Brentford's Yoane Wissa linked, and their £150 million valuation must be met. Meanwhile, Liverpool are also preparing a move for Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi, who is in the final year of his contract. Palace chairman Steve Parish is keen to avoid losing the England international for free, and the Reds hope to agree a fee lower than Guehi's £40 million valuation, with Fabrizio Romano claiming a £30 million bid is being prepared.
