Marc Guehi Prefers Arsenal or Liverpool Over Manchester City, Says Report

Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi reportedly favours a move to Arsenal or Liverpool over Manchester City, according to sources close to the player. The 25-year-old England international nearly joined Liverpool last summer before the deal collapsed on deadline day, and his future remains uncertain with his contract at Selhurst Park set to expire in 2026.

The Athletic's Sam Lee has claimed that City are behind both Liverpool and Arsenal in the race for Guehi. Speaking on the Let Me Talk podcast, Lee said: 'I was told by somebody who knows what's going on at City... he thinks Guehi wants to stay until the summer and he prefers Liverpool [to City] in any case. Somebody else messaged me... he was like; 'Yeah, he wants to stay until the summer - and he prefers Liverpool and Arsenal'.'

Palace manager Oliver Glasner has admitted that Guehi could depart this month if a suitable offer arrives. 'If you're just valuing sports, everyone in the club will say Marc has to stay... but it's not one-dimensional,' Glasner said. 'If a massive offer comes from City and Marc wants to do it, it will happen.'

Liverpool had a bid worth up to £40 million accepted last summer but failed to finalise the transfer. Palace are reportedly aware they can command a similar fee in January, with City keen after losing Josko Gvardiol, Ruben Dias, and John Stones to injury. Arsenal also held interest in Guehi last summer but opted to sign Cristhian Mosquera and Piero Hincapie instead.

With Manchester City, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, and now Arsenal all monitoring the situation, Guehi's next move remains unclear. Whether a January bid materialises or the defender waits until the summer, his preference for Liverpool or Arsenal could prove decisive in the transfer battle.
