Liam Rosenior Appointed Head Coach of Paris FC After Chelsea Exit

Liam Rosenior has been appointed as the new head coach of Paris FC, three months after being dismissed from his role at Chelsea. The 40-year-old will officially take charge on July 9, succeeding Antoine Kombouaré at the Ligue 1 club.

Rosenior, formerly of Hull City, spent 106 days at Chelsea, winning 11 of his 23 games in charge, including an FA Cup victory over his former club. His tenure at Stamford Bridge ended in May after the Premier League side opted for a change in leadership.

Paris FC finished 11th in Ligue 1 last season under Kombouaré, who was appointed mid-campaign and secured the club's top-flight status. Rosenior now aims to build on that foundation, having previously managed Strasbourg, where he guided the team to an eighth-place finish and qualification for the Conference League.

“I’m so happy to be the new coach of Paris FC. I can’t wait to get started with the players,” Rosenior said. “I want my team to enjoy playing football, to show and express themselves and play with intensity and enthusiasm.”

Paris FC sporting director Marco Neppe praised Rosenior's qualities, stating: “Liam Rosenior possesses all the qualities we were looking for. He is a modern, demanding coach, renowned for his ability to develop both individual players and the team as a whole.”
