Former Hull City head coach Liam Rosenior has secured a new managerial role at Paris FC, just three months after being dismissed by Chelsea. The 39-year-old will officially take charge of the Ligue 1 side on July 9, replacing Antoine Kombouaré, who kept the club in France's top flight with an 11th-place finish.
Rosenior, who spent 18 months at Hull City before his departure, is familiar with French football, having previously managed Strasbourg. During his full season there, he guided the club to an eighth-place finish and qualification for the Conference League. His tenure at Chelsea lasted 106 days, during which he won 11 of 23 matches, including an FA Cup victory over his former club Hull City.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Rosenior said: 'I’m so happy to be the new coach of Paris FC. I want my team to enjoy playing football, to show and express themselves and play with intensity and enthusiasm. That’s what I’m about, and hopefully I can bring that to this club.'
Paris FC sporting director Marco Neppe praised Rosenior's qualities, stating: 'Liam Rosenior possesses all the qualities we were looking for. He is a modern, demanding coach, renowned for his ability to develop both individual players and the team as a whole. Beyond his tactical skills, we were particularly impressed by his management abilities and his capacity to unite a group around a clear vision.'
