Ibiza Final Boss will take on Kellen Jenkins at Misfits' Newcastle showcase on Saturday night after original opponent BBCC Gareth was forced to withdraw from their bout.
The internet sensation, real name Jack Kay, rose to fame last summer through his antics in Ibiza. Kay, 26, has since earned a fortune from his exploits on the social scene but decided to move into boxing earlier this year.
Debut victory and last-minute replacement
He made his debut in June, defeating rapper Jordan McCann on points. The 26-year-old is now set to return to competitive action this weekend after scrambling for a last-minute opponent.
He faces influencer Jenkins, who steps up on two days' notice, on the Misfits Newcastle card. The event is headlined by a clash between Big Stacks, also known as the 'UK's Hardest Man', and McCann.
BBCC Gareth's withdrawal explained
BBCC Gareth was forced to pull out of the fight with Kay following a brain scan. Taking to social media earlier this week, the music artist said he was informed he would not be allowed to compete in the ring again after a neurologist found an aneurysm in his brain.
"This is a little update I never expected to give. I'm in absolute shock. But following a meeting with a neurologist yesterday, I have been told I cannot box on Saturday and I will never be able to box again," he said.
"They found an aneurysm in my brain - which is a shock to me and my family. The last 12 hours have been absolute hell. I just want to big up Misfits Boxing for giving me the chance to come and redeem myself. I put my heart and soul into this camp and I trained my a** off."
Kay's message of support
Kay showed his class after hearing of BBCC Gareth's withdrawal, sending his support to his foe. "Obviously you all would have heard the news with Gareth. Sadly, he will not be fighting on Saturday, but I will be still. Misfits have found a replacement for us," he said.
"So, the fight is still going ahead as planned. I just want to say to Gareth - big love. Do not let it get you down. Keep on training, keep doing your thing, and I have got nothing but respect for you."
