Hull 1-1 Brentford: Ouattara strike extends Tigers' winless run

Hull City extended their winless run to seven matches despite a 1-1 draw with Brentford at the MKM Stadium, where the Tigers preserved their unbeaten home record this season.

McBurnie penalty opens the scoring

The hosts took the lead in the 24th minute when Oli McBurnie converted a penalty, awarded after Aaron Hickey brought down Tim Iroegbunam inside the area. McBurnie placed the ball into the bottom right corner, and although Brentford goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher guessed the right way, he could not keep out his opponent's first Premier League goal in over 900 days.

Ouattara levels after the break

Brentford drew level in the 63rd minute when Igor Thiago set up Dango Ouattara, who finished with little pressure to make it 1-1. Jaidon Anthony then pushed for a winner, seeing an initial shot land just wide before forcing a save from Hull goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis. Mohamed Belloumi responded on the counter-attack but fired over the bar from distance.

Late chance goes begging

Hull's final opportunity arrived in the 88th minute when Mohamed Ali-Cho crossed for Joe Gelhardt, whose shot went off target, ensuring the Tigers took only a point as their search for a victory continues.
