Hearts suffered a painful derby defeat at Hampden as Hibs came from behind to win, while the Edinburgh club's injury crisis deepened with two key players forced off. Calvin Miller was seen on crutches at full-time after picking up an injury before the break.
Hearts take the lead but Hibs fight back
Hearts made a flying start when Calvin Miller's corner was headed in by Claudio Braga within minutes of kickoff. However, the lead did not last long. Tomas Magnusson took a knock and had to be replaced by Yan Dhanda, and shortly after Martin Boyle levelled for Hibs.
Miller then went off with another injury, and Jamie McGrath scored Hibs' second just before half-time. Hearts were unable to mount a comeback and were left to reflect on a tough defeat.
Player ratings from Hampden
Beau Reus 7 – Pulled off a brilliant save with his legs to deny Passlack and was unlucky not to do the same at Boyle's goal. Saved from the winger and Klidje in the second half as well.
Jordi Altena 6 – Looked good on the ball at times but found it tough defensively against Boyle and was rarely helped by Kerjota when Mayor bombed forward. Booked in the first half.
Malachi Fagan-Walcott 5 – Too ponderous in possession at times and distribution was not up to scratch. Had to get more on a clearance which led to McGrath's goal.
Jamie McCart 6 – Tested by Elding up front for Hibs as well as midfield runners. Produced a potential goal-saving block on the Irish striker at 2-1 down in his own box.
Stephen Kingsley 6 – Didn't know whether to follow Mulligan when he drifted infield and was caught out a couple of times. Made a brilliant recovery block on Passlack in the second half.
Laurent Mendy 6 – Looked like he might take charge early on but his influence waned when Hibs took over. Improved in the second half.
Tomas Magnusson 3 – Had a decent start and came close with a diving header from Miller's cross that flew wide. Was forced off after that with concussion.
Sabah Kerjota 6 – Neat and tidy with the ball but Hearts couldn't get him into areas to hurt Hibs. Struggled physically to cope with marauding Mayor.
Calvin Miller 4 – Whipped in a cracking corner for Braga's opening goal and set up Magnusson's chance. Was trying to impact the game before injury forced him off before the break. Worryingly for Hearts, he was spotted on crutches at full-time.
Josh McPake 6 – Produced a super run on the left flank just after Hearts took the lead, then a curling cross set up a Braga header. More of a threat in the second half with his dribbling but couldn't conjure up a leveller.
Claudio Braga 6 – Got the team off to a dream start with the opener. His movement was great and the bullet header unstoppable. Should have done better with another chance that he put wide, then tested Sallinger with a powerful shot.
Substitutes fail to change the game
Yan Dhanda 4 – Replaced the concussed Magnusson after 14 minutes but the game seemed to swallow him up with Hibs on top. Couldn't get on the ball and dictate. Hooked near the end.
Sabri Guendouz 4 – Called upon before half-time to take over from Miller but only really impacted the game in the second half. A stunning shot looked in before Sallinger denied him.
Aron Benjaminsen 2 – Took over from Kerjota on the right flank with 10 to go but only got one delivery into the box that was cleared.
James Wilson 2 – Thrown on for Dhanda near the end as Hearts desperately tried to find an equaliser but to no avail.
