Sarina Wiegman has admitted she is yet to decide who will be England's first-choice goalkeeper for this summer's European Championship in Switzerland. The Lionesses boss faces a difficult choice between Mary Earps and Hannah Hampton, with both keepers impressing in recent matches.
Earps, 32, has 53 caps and was a key figure in England's Euro 2022 triumph and run to the 2023 World Cup final. However, Hampton, 24, started February's victory over world champions Spain. Wiegman praised both as 'world class' but stressed a decision has not been made.
The England squad for April's Women's Nations League double-header against Belgium includes four keepers, with Khiara Keating and Anna Moorhouse also selected. Brighton's Fran Kirby returns from injury, while Maisie Symonds earns her first call-up amid midfield absences. Beth Mead is also back, but Tottenham's Jessica Naz misses out.
Off the pitch, Wiegman said she hopes a resolution to the ongoing bonus dispute with the Football Association will come soon, bringing 'calmness before a tournament'. She also expressed concern about the new World Sevens Football series, questioning how it fits into the congested calendar.
England host Belgium on 4 April at Ashton Gate before travelling to Leuven on 8 April for the second Nations League match.
