Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes used an expletive during his post-match interview on Amazon Prime Sport after the team's 3-2 comeback win over Roma, prompting presenter Gabby Logan to apologise to viewers.
United secured their first victory in 10 attempts with a second-half turnaround at Old Trafford, overturning a 2-0 deficit. Roma had taken the lead inside the opening 17 minutes of the Champions League clash through goals from Matias Soule and Donyell Malen, which appeared to put Michael Carrick's position under further threat.
Comeback sparked by Fernandes penalty
Fernandes started the revival by converting a penalty, having been fortunate to retake the spot-kick after his first effort was saved due to an encroachment. Matheus Cunha then scored twice in the space of three minutes to complete the comeback and give United a lead they defended to the final whistle.
Cunha's emotions were evident as he jumped into the stands to celebrate before being sent off minutes later for an over-exuberant tackle.
Fernandes speaks after the win
Speaking to Amazon Prime Sport after the match, Fernandes said: "The aim is to win every f****** game ahead. We don't need to save anyone's job. The club needed that win. The players needed that win. It is something we needed as a group of players and staff."
Logan was then forced to apologise for the X-rated language once the interview had concluded.
