Aston Villa were the only British side to finish in the top eight of the league phase, earning a bye to the last 16. They will discover their opponents in February, with possible ties against Red Star Belgrade, Celta Vigo, PAOK, or Lille.
The first legs of the play-offs are scheduled for 19 February, with the second legs on 26 February. The eight winners will join the top eight teams in the round of 16 draw.
