Real Madrid-bound wonderkid Endrick scored his first international goal for Brazil in a 1-0 victory over England at Wembley on Saturday evening, and paid a touching tribute to Manchester United legend Sir Bobby Charlton.
The 17-year-old, who currently plays for Palmeiras, came off the bench to tap home the winner on his third senior appearance. He could have added a second in stoppage time but was denied by Jordan Pickford.
After the match, an emotional Endrick said: 'A guy who is an idol here is also Bobby Charlton, playing in the stadium that Bobby played, scoring on the day Ronaldo debuted. These are very important memories for me.'
Saturday was also a special night for United's Kobbie Mainoo, who replaced Conor Gallagher to make his England debut. The 18-year-old midfielder will hope to earn his first full cap against Belgium on Tuesday.
