Roberto De Zerbi has confirmed that Pedro Porro will miss Tottenham's trip to Manchester United, but Micky van de Ven and Jan Paul van Hecke are available for Saturday evening's Premier League match at Old Trafford.
Spurs sit bottom of the Premier League table and are still seeking their first league win of the season. Porro, who has been out with a hamstring injury sustained during the 3-2 defeat to Aston Villa, travelled to Spain to see a specialist during the international break but remains sidelined.
Porro and Mudryk ruled out
“Pedro and [Mykhailo] Mudryk are both not available,” De Zerbi said. “Pedro I think not for many games, and for Mudryk, something more.”
Mudryk, on loan from Chelsea, is out for another couple of weeks with an ankle injury he picked up in training shortly after making his debut for his new club.
Dutch duo fit for United clash
Van de Ven suffered a hand injury during the Netherlands' game against Serbia, while Van Hecke sustained a foot problem that kept him sidelined. Van Hecke, the summer signing from Brighton, returned early to England for rehabilitation but has recovered in time to face United.
“They are available to play,” De Zerbi said of the Dutch pair. “Micky played four games, 90 minutes. The difference is this, [Van Hecke’s] wife, [had] two twins, emotional aspect we have to consider, but both are available to play.”
Maddison in contention
Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert remain long-term absentees with ACL injuries. James Maddison, who has recovered from his own ACL problem, is in line to feature in Manchester.
“He is available, but he lost three four days, the end of the last week,” De Zerbi said of his No10. “Like I said many times, James is a special player but also a personality. But also, Gallagher is playing well the last two games.”
