Alan Shearer has shared his predictions for the Premier League's Gameweek 20, highlighting the crucial clash between Manchester City and Arsenal as 'the biggest game of the season'. The title rivals meet on Sunday, with Arsenal holding a six-point lead but City having a game in hand. Shearer did not tip a winner but emphasised the stakes.
For the match between Chelsea and Manchester United, Shearer backed Chelsea to win at home, citing United's defensive struggles with Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martínez injured. He described it as a 'huge game' that Chelsea must win to keep Champions League hopes alive.
Elsewhere, Shearer predicted Brentford to beat Fulham at home, praising Igor Thiago's impact. He also forecast a Leeds win over Wolves, believing victory would ensure their survival. For Newcastle against Bournemouth, he foresaw a draw, expressing uncertainty about Newcastle's form despite Bournemouth's impressive display at Arsenal.
Shearer tipped Brighton to win away at Tottenham, noting Brighton's strong form and Spurs' lack of belief. He was also disappointed with Manchester United's recent performance and noted Chelsea's defensive vulnerabilities.
