Corby Town Hit by Two Break-Ins in Two Days

Corby Town Football Club has been targeted by thieves on two consecutive nights, causing what the club described as “sickening” damage. The semi-professional side, which competes in the Evo-Stik Southern Central division, suffered break-ins at its Steel Park stadium over the weekend.

On Saturday night, rooms were damaged and a music system was stolen. The following night, thieves took televisions and ground staff equipment. The club and Northamptonshire Police have appealed for information.

The first incident occurred between 19:30 GMT on Saturday and 08:30 on Sunday, with the second between 17:00 on Sunday and 12:00 on Monday. In a statement, the club highlighted the “amount of damage caused” to two supporters’ bars, the laundry room, a refreshment shed, and the board room. The door to manager Steven Kinniburgh’s office was smashed, along with a pool table.

Fans expressed dismay on social media, with one writing: “It is hard enough to run a club without this,” and another saying: “Sad to see another club suffering from people who simply don’t care. #NoRespect.”
