Juventus winger Francisco Conceicao has addressed speculation linking him with Liverpool, as the Premier League champions begin their search for a replacement for Mohamed Salah. Salah announced his departure from Anfield at the end of the season on Tuesday, March 24, ending a nine-year spell in which he scored 255 goals in 435 appearances.
Conceicao, valued at £52 million, is among the names reportedly under consideration. When questioned about the links during Portugal's international break, the 23-year-old said: 'I know people talk about a big club, but I play for a big club where I am happy. At the moment I am only focused on these two games with the national team and then I will focus on the final stretch of the season to help my club as much as possible.'
Conceicao joined Juventus initially on loan from Porto in August 2024, before making the move permanent for €32 million (£27.7 million) last summer. He has scored four goals in 34 appearances this campaign, following seven goals in 40 outings last season. He also inherited the No.7 shirt vacated by Federico Chiesa, who moved to Liverpool.
Other potential successors for Salah include Bayern Munich's Michael Olise, Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers, Paris Saint-Germain's Bradley Barcola, and RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande. However, Bayern have made clear they have no intention of selling Olise, with chief executive Uli Hoeness stating: 'We won't be contributing to them playing better next year.'
Conceicao added: 'I am at a big club where the pressure to win is very high. I just have to keep working and contribute with goals and assists.'
