Eden Hazard Admits Decision on Chelsea Future Amid Real Madrid Interest

Eden Hazard has revealed he has made a decision regarding his future at Chelsea, intensifying speculation of a move to Real Madrid. The Belgian forward, whose contract expires in June 2020, told French radio station RMC: “I know what I am going to do. I have made a decision.”

The interview, recorded two months ago for a documentary, was released this week, adding to the uncertainty surrounding Hazard’s plans. The 28-year-old has previously described a transfer to Real Madrid as a “dream” and called the Spanish club “the best in the world” in October.

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri acknowledged in December that it was “time to decide” on Hazard’s future, and later stated: “If he wants to go, he has to go.” Hazard has not entertained new contract terms, and a nine-figure bid may be required to secure his departure.
