Chelsea are preparing to sell three players this month to raise funds for a move to re-sign Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace. The 24-year-old centre-back left Stamford Bridge in 2021 and has since become a key player for club and country.
The Blues have enquired about the fee needed to bring Guehi back, with Palace having already rejected a £65 million offer from Newcastle. Chelsea are now ready to offload Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Carney Chukwuemeka, and Axel Disasi to finance a bid.
Dewsbury-Hall has made just five Premier League appearances since his summer move from Leicester, and Chelsea are open to a permanent sale. Chukwuemeka has a £40 million release clause, while Disasi – signed for £38.5m 18 months ago – is also available for an acceptable offer.
There are further doubts over Cesare Casadei and Christopher Nkunku, with chairman Todd Boehly favouring permanent sales over loans after spending over £1 billion on new players.
Strengthening the defence is a priority for manager Enzo Maresca due to injuries to Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile. Guehi's contract expires in 2026, meaning Palace may be forced to sell this year to secure a large fee.
