Celtic's players and staff left Glasgow Airport on Monday for a pre-season training camp in Austria, as Brendan Rodgers steps up preparations for the new campaign. The squad, including new permanent signing Odsonne Edouard, will spend the week in the Alpine nation with three friendlies scheduled.
Edouard, who joined from Paris Saint-Germain this month for an initial fee of over £6 million, was among the familiar faces boarding the flight. The 20-year-old faces competition from Moussa Dembele and Leigh Griffiths for the striker role.
Youngsters such as 18-year-old centre-half Stephen Welsh, along with Regan Hendry and Kerr McInroy, were also included as Rodgers looks to integrate academy talent.
