Celtic could be just one point clear at the top of the Premiership table by the time Kilmarnock visit on Sunday. The Hoops claimed their first Europa League points with a 3-2 win over Besiktas on Thursday night, having previously drawn at home to Dundee Utd before losing away to Falkirk.
Rangers Close the Gap
That gives Rangers the chance to cut the gap at the top to just one point with a game in hand on their rivals. Celtic have made a habit of missing the chance to crank up the pressure more than once over the last 18 months, but Martin O'Neill's team can't keep relying on the Light Blues failing to capitalise.
The Hoops can only take care of their own business, and that begins with three points at home to Kilmarnock. Kasper Hogh hit a hat-trick the last time the sides met in Ayrshire back in August, and hasn't scored since.
Kilmarnock's Relegation Battle
Neil McCann's men are just a point off bottom-placed Hibs and look like being embroiled in a relegation battle this season. They will need to tighten up significantly if they are to leave Parkhead with any points.
